Our wonderful registered care manager, Denise has become an official Mental Health First Aider.
Denise Pitts, from Your Home Care, in Mansfield Woodhouse, has worked in the Adult Social Care sector for more than 10 years, starting out as a home care assistant.
Her new qualification will enable Denise to support Your Home Care's workforce, including home care assistants, and their wellbeing needs at all times.
Denise said: “This course has allowed me to gain an in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing.
“I want to give our staff, and clients, the support, reassurance and an understanding of how to keep themselves safe, and where to go for additional help and advice if needed.”
Your Home Care operates an open door policy and encourages staff to drop in for a coffee and a chat to discuss any issues they may have.
