“To me, making a difference is what counts.”
Alongside fellow Your Home Care director Paul Pitchford, Scott is an advocate of using the best technology to improve the quality of compassionate and respectful care in the home. Your Home Care uses cloud-based digital technology to improve the home care experience for the client, while also making it easier for Home Care Assistants to manage schedules, log visits and manage medication.
Scott’s background in adult social care means he is perfectly qualified to head up Your Home Care. He was the original CEO of Respectful Care for five continuous years. For this period, under Scott’s leadership, Respectful Care provided domiciliary home care and support services to over 750 clients. He was personally responsible for over 250 staff and oversaw the delivery of over 7,000 hours of care per week.
His achievements at Respectful Care means that he has immediate experience of being responsible for the smooth running of large care organisation working to the highest ethical standards and delivering the highest levels of care. This included ultimate responsibility for the company’s clients and staff. That is, the consistent delivery of best practice in care while simultaneously making sure that staff were valued as individuals and properly rewarded. As CEO of Respectful Care, he had a multifaceted role, including making sure that the business was always learning and improving. One of his key functions - possibly an obsession – was to drive improvements in every department and to make sure searching for improvements became a natural part of the company culture. It is this drive and ambition to see Your Home Care as the leader of high standards in home care provision, that means Your Home Care is a force to be reckoned with, and its care second to none.
Scott recently achieved First Class Honours with Distinction as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Global. He studied at the University of Derby from 2018-2019 and was the highest achieving student across his cohort. He is also a board director for the Teversal Sports and Recreation Ground Trust, a substantial community sports site that hosts Football, Cricket, Bowls, Horse Riding, Running, Walking and a visitors’ centre.
Scott is the Nominated Individual as a point of contact with the Care Quality Commission.
