What the day is for

Speak face to face with local organisations.

Older Persons Day is designed to make it easier for people to access helpful information, advice and support in one welcoming place.

Many older people can find it difficult to know where to turn for help, or may not feel confident reaching out. This event gives attendees the chance to ask questions, collect useful information and connect with people who may be able to help them or someone they care about.

The venue has plenty of parking available, so visitors can drop in without worrying about finding a space nearby.

Who is the event for?

  • Older people living in Amber Valley and surrounding areas
  • Family members and friends who help support an older person
  • Carers and unpaid carers
  • Local residents who want to learn more about community support
  • Anyone planning ahead for future care, wellbeing or support needs

Everyone is welcome. No booking needed.
