Call4Care wristbands, new to YourHomeCare
With our founder and director, Paul, coming from an IT background, it’s no surprise that at YourHomeCare we try to keep up with changes and advances in technology to improve our services for our clients.
We were the first home care provider in Nottinghamshire to offer RESTORE2 to clients; this enabled us to check our clients vital signs, detecting any signs of deterioration early and preventing hospital admissions.
Now, new for 2024, we are introducing Call4Care Personal Alarm Wristbands.
Developed by Intelligent Recording Limited, based locally to Your Home Care in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, the devices utilise cloudless telecoms technology to help keep users safe.
With an SOS button, fall detection, GPS tracking and FlawlessConnectTM technology linking to a Friends & Family App, you and your family and friends can have peace of mind that you can maintain independence and stay active whilst remaining safe. We are also in the process of integrating the technology into our own systems for clients and their families, so that everything is easily accessible in one place.
The extended battery life means you get between 4 and 7 days use (depending on active settings) before it will need charging.
You can make calls and talk through the wristband, so there’s no need to worry about not being near a phone.
With automatic fall detection, there’s no need to press the button to make an emergency call. The wristband will automatically call your contacts to alert them, which is vital in case of loss of consciousness or you’re not able to press the button.
You can have multiple contacts and your wristband will try calling them all simultaneously, saving valuable time in the event of an emergency. Your wristband doesn’t fall for voicemails either, so will continue to call until it recognises a real voice has answered.
Once your wristband has managed to get through to your contacts, they can easily add the emergency services into the call, keeping everyone on the call to give comfort and assurance.
If there is no answer from any of your contacts, the wristband will then call through to a Response Centre Operative, who are available 24/7 and who will then be able to offer the appropriate support.
The GPS tracking will allow your family and friends to see exactly where you are, in the event that you do need help, so you can continue enjoying yourself outside of your home and know that you’re still safe. There is also a function to set a “geo-fence” whereby you create an area that the user should be in and a notification will be sent if they leave that area. This ensures that your loved ones aren’t travelling too far, unsupervised.
The wristband also has many optional features such as health readings such as blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen and body temperature, and will store these for your family and friends to view on the app. You can also set alarms on the watch to remind you to take any medications up to 3 times per day.
Paul says:
“This wonderful and unique technology has the potential to be a real asset when ensuring the safety of vulnerable or elderly people in their own homes. They should help give even more confidence to families that the health of their loves ones is being monitored. As we already regularly use RESTORE2 health checks, we see the wristbands as working in tandem with that process and being integrated with our information.”
“YourHomeCare is committed to delivering Outstanding care and the use of modern technology is part of how we can keep on improving what we do.”
Philip Hill, of Intellignt Recordings Ltd. said:
“It’s an exciting product and I really look forward to seeing how clients of Your Home Care benefit from using the wristbands.”

We are confident that the introduction of these wristbands will be life changing for many of our existing and new clients. We pride ourselves on having wonderful relationships with our clients and their families; we always keep them informed using our app or we’ll pick up the phone and call them if there’s something to be discussed in more detail. We hope that this is one step further in maintaining that line of communication and reassures our clients, their family and friends, that we do all that we can to support them and help them keep their independence for as long as possible.
